Isaac: 8 Months

Happy 8 month birthday, Isaac!  We can't believe you are 2/3rds through your first year of life!

Highlights of this past month:

Isaac & Landrie's Gotcha Day party, which was so much fun!  Poppa and Grandma Rinn came down from Colorado for the party and also saw our new house for the first time!  Isaac loved having them visit (and so did we!). 

Isaac's first trip to Colorado!  On this trip, Isaac also met his Great-Grandpa Rinn and his uncle Mike! 

Isaac's first swim in Grandpa & Grandma's pool, where he learned how to splash the water very hard with both hands.  Since swimming in the pool, bathtime has become much, much wetter because now he does the same thing in the tub!  :)

Isaac's accomplishments and current favorite things:

• Learning how to drink from a sippy cup...though he mostly just likes to hit it as hard as he can on his tray!
• We're waiting for a tooth to pop through...we've all been saying "it'll be any day now," but it still hasn't happened.  In the meantime, Isaac puts everything he can find into his mouth...and I mean EVERYTHING!
• Raising his arms up when he wants to be picked up
• Taking a few steps while holding onto someone's fingers.  A few nights ago, Isaac walked all the way from the couch to the desk in our media room while holding onto Dave's fingers! 
• Standing (and trying to walk) behind his new push toy!  He loves this new little bus!
• New foods this month...chicken, blueberries, blackberries, & avacado
