Isaac: 21 Months

Oh my!  How can this already be our last rocking chair picture until Isaac turns TWO?!? 

Isaac is at such an adorable stage right now.  He keeps me--and anyone else around--laughing!  His name suits him perfectly. 

Funniest & Cutest New Words:

• wa-ma-on (watermelon)
• bo-bo (elbow)
• tra-or (tractor)
• berry (strawberry or blueberry)
• wim-ing (swimming)
• tuck (stuck)
• ou-i (outside)

• dodo (dozer, digger)
• ow (show/DVD on TV)

• hea-y (heavy)
• and...my favorite word of all--mama!  He says it in such a high-pitched, sweet voice...but when he says dada, he basically growls and uses a very low voice!  It's hilarious how he makes his voice so different for each of our names. 

His Favorite Things:

• anything to do with trucks/machines/cranes/diggers!  This summer, Dave is working at a jobsite in Richland Hills, which isn't too far from home.  Last Wednesday, we went to have lunch with him.  We got there a little early, so while Dave finished a few things before he could stop for lunch, Isaac and I sat outside and watched the belly dumps go back & forth with their loads.  At one point, there were 3 belly dumps near us, and Isaac got so excited that he started clapping for them!  Couldn't have been cuter! 
• trains!  Even when we drive over railroad tracks or crossings, Isaac starts making his train sounds.  I'm surprised at how far away he can spot trains.

• swimming!  We finished "Mommy & Me" swimming lessons 2 weeks ago, where Isaac became a pro at jumping into the water and blowing bubbles.  We've also spent a lot of time swimming at my parent's pool, plus some neighborhood & friends' pools.  Today was our 16th consecutive day of 100+ heat, so we're trying to stay cool!
