"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever."
Psalm 107:1
Isaac memorized this Scripture verse before Thanksgiving and has been singing it over (and over) to a little repeating tune. :)
We loved having time with family over Thanksgiving to give thanks to the Lord.
It was an extra-special Thanksgiving because my sister and her husband came from Chicago.
We all loved having lots of time with Emily & Caleb!
Every time I asked Isaac what he was thankful for, he'd always say "I'm thankful for the pies you're going to make." This is the first holiday season where our family has been dye-free. I wasn't about to stop making the Rinn 7-layer jello, so I found dye-free fruit gelatin online and tried it in the recipe. It tasted as good as regular Jello, but was more liquidy. Apparently Isaac wasn't disappointed, though, because when I asked Isaac if it was as good as ever he said, "It's better than ever, Mom."
"Better than ever, Mom!" -- I love this boy! |
My cousin Nate took over job of baking the turkey this year and did an AWESOME job! It was so good! (Nate, we'll sign you up for this job every year now!)
He even garnished it! :)
Isaac, Emma, and Great-Grandma Joan waiting for everyone to join us for dinner!

"I'm just waiting for my turkey!" |
Isn't this the sweetest picture of my parents at Thanksgiving dinner?
This was also such a specialThanksgiving because my sweet friend, Shamron, joined our family for Thanksgiving Day! She loved on my kids with new toys & even played crazy board games with my family. :) After an intense game of "Settlers of Catan," it'll be amazing if she ever comes back again for a Bergstrom family Thanksgiving! :)
Isaac and Emma also loved playing with both Uncle Nate and Uncle Mike on Thanksgiving Day.
Isaac got Chutes & Ladders for his birthday. It's his favorite new game to win play. :)
Emma had fun playing Fisher Price Little People with Uncle Mike! These kids are LOVED by many!
One more cute picture from Thanksgiving...Isaac, Emma, and Grandma were all watching an old "Psalty" video that from our childhood VHS collection. It makes me laugh how Isaac and Emma are just FROZEN watching the show!
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, too!
