Countryside Church Picnic

We had such a fun time at the Countryside Church picnic on Sunday, May 29.  (Last year, I had walked extensively at the picnic after coming home from camping, and by the next night I was having contractions and went to the hospital.)  I was very thankful to enjoy this picnic with Titus and not be concerned about walking too much!  It was just a fantastic night!

We enjoyed delicious In-N-Out burgers and then ice cream from our favorite TX Ice Cream trucks for dessert.  Isaac inhaled his hamburger and then raced off to play with the youth, while Emma and Josiah bounced in the bounce houses.  It was so fun to talk with many friends from church together!

We had to laugh when someone grabbed us and said, "Look!" and we saw Josiah passing the football with Pastor Tom and Joey Pendrich!  Josiah said he saw Pastor Tom and Joey passing the ball and he went up and asked to join.  We were joking with our friends that this could be a good example for "what football is NOT" -- Pastor Tom often starts his sermons with what something is NOT (for example, "Here's what sanctification is NOT").  What a special memory!

Josiah found a duck to hold! Of course, he just picked it right up.  (Right now, he is in a stage where "he loves birds" and "wants to own a bird" and "wants to be a falconer when he grows up"!) The funny thing is that one of the Davis girls had also touched a duck earlier in the evening, and Brittany and I had been laughing about how in the world do these things happen....then, a few minutes later, Dave told me Josiah was clutching one.
