Nate and Ashley's wedding

For months, we looked forward to my cousin Nate's wedding to his bride, Ashley!  Nate and my sister are just 6 weeks apart, and we grew up just blocks apart from each other.  So, in many ways, Nate seems like a younger brother to me.  He is like an uncle to my kids, too!  We had such a wonderful time at their wedding and spending time with so much of our family.

A great part of going to Houston for the wedding was that we also were able to spend time with Uncle Mike!  We went out for lunch with him on Saturday to celebrate his upcoming birthday.

Since the wedding wasn't until 7pm, we got the kids (even Isaac!) to take afternoon naps.  Somehow, Josiah always ends up on the opposite end of the bed.

I set Emma's hair in hot rollers before we left the hotel.  When we arrived at the wedding venue, she got to put her flower girl dress on in the bridal suite with the bride and bridesmaids.  It was such a special time for me with Emma!

Isaac was so proud to be a ring bearer!  He looked so handsome and grown-up when I spotted him taking pictures with the groomsmen.

My heart could just burst!  I still can't believe these precious children are mine.  I love them so.

When the ceremony started, I stayed at the back with the flower girls and ring bearers.  Isaac and Tyler walked down the aisle with the rings.  Then, Emma and Amanda began walking down the aisle and tossing their flower petals.  I was watching the girls walk down the aisle through the curtain, but I couldn't see very well.  When they got to the front, I heard a lot of laughter.  I found out later that when Emma got to the front, she tossed the rest of her petals on the floor and then handed her empty pail to the pastor!  

We all had so much fun dancing!  Isaac and Amanda danced and danced, and Isaac even danced with the bride!  Emma danced with Uncle Mike, Uncle Kym and, of course, Daddy!

And, I just loved dancing with this little guy!  

Everyone stayed awake and danced until Nate and Ashley left with sparklers!  It was so fun! 

The next morning, Emma thought it was so fun to snuggle up on the floor and eat snacks, and Isaac finished his Lego truck from Nate & Ashley!

We met Michael for lunch before heading back home.  

My mom bought the boys matching shirts for Father's Day!

We went straight to my parent's and spent the evening swimming with Emily and Caleb.  

Standing on shoulders is obviously everyone's favorite thing to do in the pool right now!
