Josiah’s Week (alone) at home!

Josiah experienced a week as the only child at home while Isaac and Emma were in Colorado!

Josiah and I went on a long walk on the first Friday morning that the kids were gone.  Josiah wanted to walk instead of ride his bike, and it took us a long time to walk my typical route, largely because Josiah gets so involved in asking questions or telling a story that it's hard to keep pace.  :)  In fact, I'm writing this now in November (4 months later) and today when we went on a walk, Josiah asked if it would be as long as the walk we took on the day we went to ICR!  Haha!  I'm thankful for sweet times to savor with Josiah, just like this long, hot walk!

After our long walk, we went to the ICR Creation Museum and then had lunch at In-N-Out.

We loved our family class at church this summer!  Here is a crown made out of play dough on "King Josiah's" head.  This was for a game at the beginning of class where one family member fashioned an item out of play dough and their family members tried to guess what the item was!
Josiah also enjoyed chess at Pop and Mom-o's!
"It's been a long time without Emma and Isaac and just you, me, and Dad, and it's been so, so fun!"  Josiah said near the end of our week together.  Another of his picks for the week was lunch at the Starwood Cafe together.

Enjoying kolaches and supervising work on the grotto

It was an exciting morning as we poured concrete on the grotto deck!

Josiah's last request before Emma and Isaac came home was homemade chocolate chip cookies!

Fourth of July 2021

We had a fun weekend celebrating the Fourth with lots of food, time with family and friends, and swimming!

Emma added the red socks and her flower girl heels to her patriotic dress.  She said the outfit needed more red to be red, white, and blue!  This is in the elevator at church because at this point (34 weeks tomorrow) sometimes the stairs in the Children's Building are too much, ha!

During family class, each family created their own family flag.  Emma went to the front and explained every aspect of our flag on the microphone!  We were so proud of her!

Lunch with Pop and Mom-o at Meat You Anywhere

Emma made this adorable (and creative!) sign for the glow sticks on Sunday evening.  I asked her just to make a sign that said 8 sticks per child, and this is what she made!

Even Tex made it to the Trophy Club fireworks - his first Fourth!
The kids were teasing me that this was the first time he was in a family picture!
I had walked early on Sunday morning before church, and by the end of the Fourth I had almost 9,000 steps!  It was a great, full day!

Ending my 2nd trimester!

This pregnancy continues to fly by, and so many people have told me it seems to be flying by for them, too! :)
Here are a few pictures from the end of my 2nd trimester!
May 20, 2021 at my OB's office (27 1/2 weeks)

Our sono on May 20, 2021 confirmed that my placenta had lifted and was no longer so low!  Baby weighed 3.1 pounds and was Frank breech.  My fluid levels were triple what they need to be (good!), and heartbeat was 136!  What a tremendous answer to prayer!

May 25, 2021 (28 weeks)

Just for fun - 28 weeks with Josiah
